Experiencing Prayer with Jesus

Scripture clearly commands us to pray for others. Jesus' life was supremely characterized by intercession for others.

The intercession of Jesus for the disciples is a wonderful pattern for our intercession too.

Jesus relied on the Father for an understanding of how to train and instruct the disciples.

We see that Jesus sought the Father's direction not only for each step He took during His earthly ministry, but also to gain understanding in what was going on with the Father's activity among those whose lives He had been entrusted with.

The role of Jesus' intercession was vital to the Father's purposes.

The weak condition of God's people in the churches today can be attributed to our neglect of intercession for them.

Through prayer, Jesus always understood how to relate to those who would oppose or persecute Him. Toward Judas He continued to provide every opportunity to follow Him and serve with Him.

When God places difficult people in your life, don't simply discount them and walk away, but seek the Father and learn from Him why they have been brought into your life in God's purpose and plan.
